(4/11/2000) NWCHP signed Strategic Alliance Agreement with Chongqin Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone
NWCHP has just signed an agreement with Chongqing Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (CHIDZ) on forming a strategic alliance relationship yesterday. Under the agreement, both sides will promote each other’s course and name in the U.S. and China respectively. NWCHP will assist CHIDZ to identity Chinese startup candidates who are willing to invest and startup his/her own venture in Chongqing, China. At the same time, NWCHP will also assist CHIDZ to find U.S. investors who would consider investing in China. The agreement was signed during CHIDZ’s delegation visiting Seattle led by its Deputy Chief Ms. Xiaolan Zhang.
CHIDZ is one of the major Hi-Tech Development Zones approved by the State Council in 1991. In 9 years, CHIDZ has already built itself into a well developed zone covering 20 square kilometers, with a total revenue about $1.5 billion in 1999. The development zone has attracted world-class companies such Nokia, Yazak, Pepsi and etc. To attract overseas Chinese scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs to their place, CHIDZ has hammered out a series of preferential policies with regard to tax, office rent, loans and many others.
Besides current connections with Greater China region, NWCHP will continue its commitment in the future to build a solid relationship with this region’s major industrial groups, investors and government agencies.
On the delegation were also two hi-tech companies. Chongqing Xinwei Telecom Technology Co. is a wireless communication company and the other Chongqing Hongsheng Sysway Information Industry Co. is specialized in manufacturing process control and ERP technology.
