NWCHP Chinese New Year Party 2003 

Dear members and friends:

It is the time of the year again! 2003 Chinese New Year is rapidly approaching and let us gather and makes a grand celebration party together!

This will be a night of enlightening, relaxation and entertainment - we’ve got great performances, fun games to play and awesome prizes for you to win, better yet, we can dance the night away!

Time: 6:00pm to 10:00am, Jan. 25, 2003, Saturday

Program:

6:00 - 7:00PM       Registration and social hour

7:00 - 8:00PM
          Introduction to NWCHP organization and various program
          Introduction to special interest groups

Performances: singing, dancing and martial arts demonstration

    8:00 - 10:00PM     Dance party and games

          Chinese Checker

          Weiqi (Go)

          Poker game

          Ma Jiang

Ruffle & Prize: You can get one Ruffle ticket by RSVP right now! You can also buy ruffle ticket at the door ($1 each).  Prizes range from Xbox games to other fun stuff.

Kids: Kids are welcome, and they can participate in our kid corner activities.

Dress Code: Party attire

Fees:

Free for members (if renewal membership at the event)

         $5 for non-members, $10 for a non-member's family.

         You are encouraged to renewal your membership or sign up as a new member the door to take advantage of the benefit right away.

Wandering what activities we have planned for this year? 

At this moment, we have tentatively scheduled a wireless communication seminar in February, a tax seminar in March, BBQ, camping, and hiking trips in the summer, regular dance parties/classes throughout the winter and early spring. And much more will be announced later.

Furthermore, starting from this year, we will set up numerous special interest groups focusing on different professional areas, such as database design and administration, project management, Bio-tech and Bio-Pham, telecommunications, and accounting. These special interest groups will meet on biweekly or monthly basis to discuss interesting topics among members. You will be able to sign up for all these groups at the party. In addition, we will coordinate and organize various delegations of IT professionals and business developers to visit China.

With all of these activities we are planning, you will not be bored!
